Mick Foley is a legend in the world of professional wrestling, known for having participated in many of the the most brutal matches ever. His epic “Hell in the Cell”match with the Undertaker is the stuff of legend, but it was a match in Europe that led him to Smith’s side on Saturday night.

Foley performed a planned move in a match in Germany, where he gets his head caught up in the ropes. Well, he’s not truly supposed to be stuck in said ropes, but that’s exactly where he found himself. In order to get free, Foley had to wrench his head out from between the ropes, ripping nearly two-thirds of his ear off in the process.

So yes, he quite literally feels Smith’s pain, so he reached out to her via Twitter. It must have been the Mankind in him.
