After the fight, UFC president Dana White confirmed that she would get the next shot at the belt.
“Yes (she gets the next title shot),” said White. “She looked amazing tonight. Against a very well respected opponent, she looked amazing.”

Aguilar entered the fight with Gadelha on a 10-fight winning streak that included two victories over Japanese champion Megumi Fujii and former UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza. But Gadelha put an end to that streak.
The only blemish on Gadelha’s record is a split-decision loss to the current champion, undefeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk. It’s a blemish that she hopes to erase when the two rematch.
It won’t be an easy task, however, as Jedrzejczyk has wrecked her two opponents since the decision win over Gadelha. She scored a TKO stoppage over Esparza to capture the belt and then did the same to Jessica Penne in her first defense.
White did not reveal when or where the two would rematch.
