“Razor” Rob McCullough has long been considered one of the most dangerous strikers in the lightweight division and now he has championship gold to prove he is a true mixed martial artist.
After defeating Kit Cope for the title, McCullough has been dealing with some injuries, but he is set to return to the cage on September 5 when he faces number one contender, Rich Crunkilton, live on the Versus Network.
The bout will mark McCullough’s first defense of his title belt.
Also on the show will be the WEC 135lb champion, Chase Beebe, who will make his first title defense on the show as well, against grappling expert, Rani Yahya.
Beebe won the title back in March with a win over Eddie Wineland and will look to defend his belt on the show September 5th.
Yahya last fought at 145 pounds in the WEC, when he defeated Mark Hominick on June 3.
