As the promotion readies for its San Diego debut, World Extreme Cagefighting has released the full fight card for its next event, WEC 39, which is scheduled for March 1 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

As previously reported, WEC 39 is headlined by two title bouts. Newly crowned featherweight champion Mike Brown will make the first defense of his title since knocking Urijah Faber off of his perch. He will face a tough task against Texan Leonard Garcia, who is likely to have the entire crowd in his corner for this one.

Also drawing on support from area fans at the American Bank Center will be WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit, who hails from Texas neighbor New Mexico. On an eight-fight winning streak, he will attempt the latest defense of his belt in a rematch with Brock Larson. Condit submitted Laron by armbar in the first round of their initial meeting.

Other bouts that highlight the card are a lightweight showdown between Bart Palaszewski and Rich Crunkilton, which could go a long way in determining the next challenger to the lightweight title being contested at WEC 39.

Former lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough is also on the card, facing Marcus Hicks. Rounding out what is currently slated as the televised portion of the event on the Versus Network is a bout between decorated collegiate wrestler Johny Hendricks and Russian Alex Serdyukov.
