Visa Issues Prevent Jussier Da Silva From Rematch with Ian McCall

November 7, 2011

It’s been a tough month for Tachi Palace Fights with several fighters dropping off the upcoming December fight card due to injury.

Just when Tachi Palace Fights officials believed they had secured a top notch replacement for their Tachi Palace Fights 11 main event fight with flyweight champion Ian McCall, issues arose once again.

Jussier Da Silva, who was ranked No. 1 at 125 pounds not long ago, was offered the fight with McCall, but visa issues prevented him from being able to accept the bout.

Da Silva and McCall actually fought earlier this year at Tachi Palace Fights 8 with McCall pulling at the time an upset win. McCall has gone undefeated since and captured the Tachi Palace Fights flyweight belt in his last trip to the cage.

Da Silva won his last two fights and was geared up to accept a rematch with McCall to headline the latest Tachi show, but unfortunately he won’t be able to get the chance.

Tachi Palace Fights officials are still searching for a replacement to step in and fight McCall at the Dec. 2 show.
