Undefeated ONE Championship Fighter Christian Lee Has Just Scratched the Surface

August 8, 2016

Since turning professional last December, ONE Championship featherweight Christian Lee has been one of the busiest fighters in the promotion.

Over the course of his first seven months with the company, Lee has fought five times, including four bouts in 2016 so far.

“I planned on staying busy in my MMA career and I’ve been very blessed to have finished all of my fights without sustaining any damage, so that is why I have been able to fight so frequently,” Lee told MMAWeekly.com.

Having managed to remain undefeated with finishes in all five of his fights so far, Lee is pleased with how he has performed, but believes he’s only begun to scratch the surface of his potential.

“I have been training extremely hard for (these fights), and yes, I feel like I have much more to show to my fans,” said Lee.

Lee (5-0) will seek to continue his hot streak to start his career when he takes on Martin Nguyen (6-1) in a main card 145-pound bout at ONE: Heroes of the World on Aug. 13 in Macau, China.

“I am very excited to be facing a fellow up and coming prospect in Martin Nguyen,” Lee said. “I feel that if I can go out there and fight my fight, I will come out victorious.”

With a promising career ahead of him should he keep performing like he has up to this point, Lee could make a lot of headway in ONE in short order, but for now his sights are firmly affixed on Aug. 13.

“The most important task at hand is the fight in front of me, so my only focus right now is on Martin Nguyen.”
