Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le
Round 1: The usual feeling out process early on, Franklin utilizing lots of feints to gauge Le’s reactions. Franklin going fairly conservative to start with his jab and outside leg kicks. Just about midway into the round and Franklin starts letting the hands go a little more in longer combinations. Franklin goes with an outside leg kick, but Cung Le answers back with a huge counter right hand to the jaw that puts Franklin’s lights out before he ever hits the canvas. Franklin goes to sleep, falls limp and then crashes face first on the mat, as if in slow motion. Cung Le is extremely emotional, crying in the Octagon after the KO victory.
