UFC on FOX 19 Weigh-in Results: Glover Teixeira vs. Rashad Evans Officially Set

Following several shake-ups in the days leading up to the event, UFC on FOX 19: Teixeira vs. Evans is finally official after the fighters weighed in on Friday in Tampa, Fla.

UFC on FOX 19 was originally slated to feature the return of Khabib Nurmagomedov following a two-year absence, as he squared off with fellow lightweight contender Tony Ferguson in the main event. The event still features Nurmagomedov’s return, but he will now be facing UFC newbie Darrell Horcher further down on the card, after Ferguson fell out of the fight due to discovering fluid in his lungs.

The new main event pits light heavyweight contenders Glover Teixeira and Rashad Evans, as they try to earn a shot at the title, which is currently embroiled in a round-robin between Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and Ovince Saint Preux.

The card also suffered the loss of a high-profile rematch between Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson, when Machida admitted to using a substance that violated the UFC’s Anti-Doping Policy.

With all of the changes in the past two weeks, a pivotal strawweight bout between No. 3 ranked Rose Namajunas and No. 4 Tecia Torres has been elevated to Saturday’s co-main event at Amalie Arena.
