The Ultimate Fighting Championship inked $60,000 bonus checks for UFC 117 in-Octagon performances.

Recipients of the bonus money were Stefan Struve, Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen, and Matt Hughes.

Fight of the Night bonus cash was awarded to the main event between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.

Sonnen dominated the fight through the first four rounds, out-striking the Brazilian and securing takedowns seemingly at will. Late in the final round Silva was able to apply a triangle choke forcing Sonnen to concede, pulling a win out of a one-sided match to that point.

Knockout of the Night went to Stefan Struve who weathered a first-round barrage from UFC newcomer Christian Morecraft. Struve caught him during an exchange early in the second round, dropping Morecraft with a punch, and finishing him off on the ground.

There were two Submission of the Nights awards handed out at UFC 117, to Anderson Silva and Matt Hughes.

Matt Hughes took advantage of a well placed left hook that sent his opponent, Ricardo Almeida, to his backside and swooped in and finished the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with a front triangle choke that rendered Almeida unconscious.

The other $60,000 submission bonus check went to Anderson Silva, who pulled out a triangle choke win over Chael Sonnen late in the main event after losing the previous four rounds convincingly.

Total bonus money handed out at UFC 117 totaled $300,000.
