UFC Fight Night 56 Medical Suspensions: Shogun Rua Out for 60 Days

The Brazilian Athletic Commission of MMA (CABMMA) released the medical suspensions stemming from UFC Fight Night 56 on Monday. The event, headlined by light heavyweights Ovince St. Preux and Shogun Rua, took place at the Ginasio Municipal Tancredo in Uberlandia, Brazil on Saturday.

Shogun Rua UFC 139 750Shogun Rua was suspended for 60 days with no contact for 45 days following his technical knockout loss to Ovince St. Preux.

Ovince St. Preux can’t compete for two weeks or have any contact for seven days.

Warlley Alves received the longest suspension on the fight card. He can’t compete for six months or be released by a doctor after having his right rib x-rayed.

Alan Jouban was suspended for 45 days and can’t have contact for a month.

Claudio Silva received a 45-day suspension with no contact for 30 days.

Leon Edwards was suspended for 45 days and can’t have any contact for a month.

Dhiego Lima can’t compete for 45 days or have any contact for 30 days.

Jorge Oliveira received a 45-day suspension from competition and can’t have any contact for 30 days.

Juliana Lima can’t compete for 30 days or have any contact for three weeks.

Nina Ansaroff received the same suspension as Lima. She can’t compete for a month or have any contact for 21 days.

Diego Rivas was suspended for 45 days from competition and can’t have any contact for a month.

Rodolfo Rubio can’t compete for 30 days or have any contact for three weeks.

Caio Magalhaes can’t compete for two weeks or have any contact for 7 days following his quick knockout win.

Trevor Smith was suspended from competition for 45 days and can’t have any contact for 30 days.

Leandro Silva can’t compete for 30 days or have any contact for three weeks.

Charlie Brenneman was suspended from competing for a month and can’t have any contact for three weeks.

Thomas Almeida was suspended for 60 days and can’t have contact for 45 days.

Tim Gorman received a 45-day suspension and can’t have any contact for a month.

Wagner Silva was medically suspended for 30 days and can’t have any contact for three weeks.

Colby Covington received a 180-day suspension or be released by an orthopedic surgeon.
