The Moraga-Ortiz bout adds to the growing card, which will take place on Jan. 15 in Duluth, Ga., at the city’s Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Moraga (13-2) is a former 125-pound No.1 contender, last having fought for the UFC title against divisional champion Demetrious Johnson. Teammate to former lightweight champion Benson Henderson at The MMA Lab, the Phoenix resident will look to get back on a winning track in Georgia.
Ortiz (12-2) made his UFC debut in his last fight, a technical knockout of Jose Maria Tome at UFC Fight Night 32 in Brazil. The win was his fourth in a row, having picked up previous wins in California’s regional circuit.
UFC Fight Night 35 is headlined by a middleweight bout between former Strikeforce champ Luke Rockhold and Costa Philippou.
