Evan Dunham vs. Shamar Bailey

Round 1: Bailey lands the high kick, while Dunham responds with a punch combination. Antoher good exchange and Dunham lands a hard right hand, but Bailey keeps coming. Dunham presses in with a punch combination followed by a kick to the body, but Bailey lands a punch that has some sting on it. Dunham kind of resets a little bit, but is still maintaining the center of the cage, pressing the action with his punches. Good low kick-right hand combo from Bailey, but Dunham fires back with a straight left, shucks off a Bailey takedown attempt, and then lands a couple more punches. Dunham doing a good job throwing punches in bunches and then avoiding much retaliation from Bailey. Bailey lands a couple hard shots, but Dunham rocks him with a front push kick, follows with another kick, and then a punch combination. Solid body kick by Dunham. Bailey catches it and sends Dunham to the mat, but the round is over. MMAWeekly.com scores round one 10-9 for Dunham.

Round 2: Both men working the jab. big left hand by Bailey. Dunham gets him to the mat, taking his back briefly, but they quickly scramble out and back to their feet. Dunham lands the front push kick to the face then opens up with a combination of punches that back Bailey up. Dunahm really going to work midway through the round, landing hard right-left combos that are knocking Bailey’s head around. Bailey is still firing away, but primarily in single shots, while Dunham is landing in combination. Dunham keeps up his striking assault. Bailey shoots the takedown, but Dunham sprawls and keeps pressing with a mix of punch combinations and kicks, often going high. Bailey eats a bunch of punches just before the bell. Round 3: Bailey opens aggressively, knowing he’s gotta be down on the scorecards. Dunham keeps up his end of the bargain, however, continuing his onslaught of punch combinations and kicks. Bailey is taking some really hard shots to the jaw, but he keeps coming, taking everything Dunham throws at him. Dunham is really pressing hard in the last minute and a half trying to finish this fight. Dunham unloads everything in his arsenal, but can’t find the finishing blow. Bailey shoots and eats a knee, gets caught in a standing guillotine, but the round ends. MMAWeekly.com scores round three 10-9 and the fight 30-27 for Dunham.
