The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Tuesday announced that Josh Burkman will face Mike Swick in the main event of the next UFC Fight Night, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 in Las Vegas.

Burkman has won three of his last four bouts, his lone loss being a decision to top ten-fighter Karo Parisyan.

Losing a decision to Yushin Okami at UFC 69 in the middleweight division in his most recent bout, Swick will be dropping down to the 170-pound welterweight class for this fight with Burkman.

Two other bouts announced for the event include a middleweight fight between Patrick Cote and Drew McFedries and a lightweight contest matching Michihiro Omigawa against Thiago Tavares.

Other bouts rumored for Jan. 23, but not yet confirmed by the UFC include:
-Kurt Pellegrino vs. Alberto Crane
-Cole Miller vs. Jeremy Stephens
-Matt Wiman vs. Justin Buccholz
-Nathan Diaz vs. Alvin Robinson
