Etihad Stadium UFC 193 - Dana TwitterUFC 129 previously held the attendance record with 55,724 in attendance at Toronto’s Roger’s Centre in April 2011. Georges St-Pierre defended his welterweight title against Jake Shields in the featured fight that night.

UFC 193 brought in $9.53 million AUS in gate receipts, which translates to roughly $6.8 million US.

The historic event was the first time in the Las Vegas-based fight promotion’s history that two women’s fights headlined a pay-per-view event. Strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk defended her title for the second time by defeating Valerie Letourneau by unanimous decision in the co-main event bout.

Aside from attendance, UFC president Dana White said that “we broke a lot of records” with UFC 193, saying “the pay-per-views are trending really crazy… and we broke the all time gate record here, at the stadium.”
