Rashad Evans:

“I feel great. It’s been a long time since I finished a fight in the first round. I know how tough Chael is and what he is capable of so I expected the fight could go the full rounds. The mindset in our camp at Blackzilians is very strong right now and it’s getting stronger every day. We’re all coming in with an intensity and trying to finish for here on out.”

Chael Sonnen:

“Man, he hit me so hard in there. I couldn’t believe the amount of power he was able to generate. I think I could’ve stuck in there more minutes if I was in a more advantageous position. I was convinced I could beat him against the cage and in the boxing but he was able to get top position. There’s no excuse for losing in the same position multiple times so I definitely need to work on that. I think I can do better at light heavyweight but it’s probably time for me to return to middleweight.”
