Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado
Round 1: Takes a couple minutes to find some timing, but when he does, Davis scores the takedown. Prado tries to lock up Davis’ left arm, but Davis keeps it free and has Prado up against the fence. Prado gets to a knee, but Davis maintains control landing a couple punches and knees to the body. Prado again tries to get up, but Davis drives him back into the mat, and pins him back to the fence. Two big right hands from Davis, although the second looked like it hit the back of the head and the Brazilian crowd boos. Prado regains his feet, but Davis maintains a body lock and puts Prado back on the mat and swarms him to the horn. MMAWeekly.com scores round one 10-9 for Davis.
Round 2: Davis starts going after the takedown, while Prado is doing his best to stay on his feet and fire away. It doesn’t last long, however, as Davis secures another takedown a minute and a half into the round, once again pinning Prado to the fence. Prado eventually regains his feet, but Davis presses him on the fence. They move out to the center of the Octagon, broth throwing punches, but neither landing cleanly before Davis shoots again and gets another takedown, putting Prado on his and landing in side control. Davis mixing up punches to the body and elbows to the head, mauling Prado. Davis secures an arm triangle and jumps to the side, but Prado rolls and escapes the choke. Before he can get up, however, Davis secures and rolls into an Anaconda choke for the finish.
