Round 1: The two fighters touch gloves and take the center of the Octagon. Perez lands an outside leg kick. Perez steps in with a right hand during an exchange that drops Stone. Stone face-plants. Perez swoops in and finishes with strikes on the ground until referee Herb Dean stops the fight.

The official time of the technical knockout was :17 of the first round. It was the fastest knockout in WEC or UFC history in the bantamweight division.
