Round 1: Patrick shoots in immediately and gets a takedown. Roberts working from half guard and looking for a kimura. Patrick fights his way out, but it gets the fighters back to the feet. Patrick pushing forward gets the clinch. The fighters are jockeying for position against the cage, both gaining the upper hand at different points, but they separate. Patrick lands a nice overhand left, and then pushes in again for the clinch and then gets a takedown. Roberts working the rubber guard from the bottom. Patrick slips out and clocks Roberts with a big punch, staggering him. Patrick looks for more strikes to finish, but Roberts recovers and makes it out of the round.

Round 2: Patrick throwing leg kicks and Roberts catches one and gets the takedown. Patrick is able to get an arm and works back to the feet, but Roberts holds on for the clinch against the cage. Patrick grabs and lands a glancing knee as Roberts pulls away. Roberts looks like he’s winded. Patrick swoops in for a takedown as Roberts looks for the guillotine. The hold is enough trouble for Patrick to roll, he escapes, but Roberts lands on top. Roberts looking for short punches inside of Patrick’s half guard. Patrick is able to gain full guard. In a scramble, Roberts gets Patrick’s back but only for a moment as he reverses and gets back to his feet.

Round 3: Roberts lands a good kick to the body to open the final round. Patrick looks for the clinch and a takedown, but Roberts is able to resist for a moment before being dragged to the ground. Patrick look for punches from the top, but Roberts is able to escape and get back to the feet. Roberts goes for a takedown this time, but isn’t able to land. The clinch lasts too long against the cage and the referee separates the fighters. Roberts again goes for a takedown, Patrick look for a guillotine. Roberts slips out as the fight comes to a close.
