TUF 15 on FX to be 155 and 170 Pounders; Thursday is Deadline to Apply

As the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter is winding down, plans for the next season, the series’ first as part of the UFC’s partnership with Fox, are just getting off the ground.

Tryouts for The Ultimate Fighter 15, which will air in what UFC president Dana White has coined a “jive live” format, kick off on Dec. 5 in Las Vegas. The TUF 15 tryouts are open to both lightweights (155-pound limit) and welterweights (170-pound limit).

Fighters wanting to try out must arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Monday at Texas Station in North Las Vegas. The tryouts will be held in the Dalllas Ballroom.

All applicants for TUF 15 on FX must be 21 years of age and have a winning record with at least three professional MMA fights. All fights must be verifiable on Sherdog.com and MixedMartialArts.com to be considered.

Fighters will be required to grapple and hit pads, so must be dressed appropriately and bring necessary gear, including mouth guard, protective cup, hand wraps, and gloves.

All applicants must complete and sign the TUF 15 application. If you cannot attend the tryouts in Las Vegas, you can still fill out and follow the instructions on the application. All applications must be received by Dec. 1, 2011.
