While the TV ratings for fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, the series’ final season on Spike TV, stayed fairly well in line with past seasons on a per episode basis, the ratings for the TUF 14 season finale was a resounding success.
The TUF 14 Finale drew and average audience of 2.5 million viewers, much higher than season 13’s 1.8 million average and half a million more than the finale for seasons 11 and 12.
The show reached a peak audience of 3.4 million viewers.
The TUF 14 Finale was the highest rated and most watched TUF Finale since TUF 10, according to Spike TV officials. It was the No. 1 program on ad-supported cable in the key advertiser demographics of Men 18-49 and Men 18-34 on Saturday night.
It was a strong finish to the season. Coaches Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller went at it in the main event, Bisping dominating his counterpart. Diego Brandao won the first-ever Ultimate Fighter featherweight honors, while John Dodson captured the inaugural bantamweight Ultimate Fighter title.
