Bellator MMA light heavyweight and UFC Hall of Fame fighter Tito Ortiz was cited for misdemeanor battery after an early morning incident in a Las Vegas nightclub.

Police were called to Drai’s Nightclub inside The Cromwell hotel around 1 a.m. on Friday. A female patron accused Ortiz of trying to confiscate her cellphone. Police spokesperson Laura Meltzer confirmed to Sherdog.com.
The unnamed woman told TMZ that Ortiz tried to “whip her around.” She explained that she was taking photos inside the club and believes that Ortiz thought she was snapping shots of him.
Ortiz was not arrested, but was cited for misdemeanor battery.
The 41-year-old last fought in September, losing to Liam McGeary by submission.
