Titan FC Inks Featherweight Prospect Freddy Assuncao

April 27, 2015

Titan Fight Championship on Monday revealed to MMAWeekly.com that it had inked a multi-fight deal with top featherweight prospect Freddy Assuncao.

If that name sounds familiar, it should. Assuncao is the brother of UFC veteran Junior Assuncao and current No. 4 ranked UFC bantamweight Raphael Assuncao. Being good at mixed martial arts is something that pumps through his veins.

Although he’s fought for Titan in the past, it has been three years since Assuncao has done so. Having struggled to find a home in MMA, he is planning a lengthy stay with Titan. He inked a six-fight deal, according to promotion officials.

Assuncao will make his promotional debut at Titan FC 34 in Montreal, although no opponent has yet been announced.

Assuncao’s professional record current stands at 8-1. He has won his last seven bouts, including a victory over Brenson Hansen under the World Series of Fighting banner early last year.
