The TUF 23 Finale featured the latest title defense of strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Although the champ had already faced and defeated Claudia Gadelha in the past in a split decision, the second time around wasn’t any easier.
The main event battle went wire to wire with Jedrzejczyk’s gas tank and superior striking making all the difference in the fight. Gadelha began to wear down after about two-and-a-half rounds, but Jedrzejczyk couldn’t put her away. She instead had to settle for a unanimous decision.
The TUF 23 Finale also featured Andrew Sanchez and Tatiana Suarez winning their divisional tournaments from the reality series, as well as former Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks making his successful Octagon debut with a victory over Ross Pearson.
