Strikeforce on Saturday made its way to Columbus, Ohio, for the first time, running Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson at the Nationwide Arena.

The event aired live on Showtime (delayed on the West Coast) to an average viewing audience of 412,000, according to industry sources.

That number is a significant decrease in ratings from Strikeforce’s last major event on Showtime. Fedor vs. Silva, which took place on Feb. 12, drew a record number of viewers for Strikeforce on Showtime with an average of 741,000 viewers.

Dan Henderson, in his second Strikeforce title shot, captured the light heavyweight title from Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante in Saturday night’s main event. Henderson used his patented right hand to put Feijao down an out in the third round.

In a women’s welterweight title bout, Marloes Coenen retained her championship after a strong effort from late replacement Liz Carmouche. Coenen was on her heels for the better part of the first three rounds, but pulled out an Anderson Silva-type triangle choke finish in the opening moments of round four.
