Chael Sonnen defeated Kyacey Uscola in the main event of Bodog Fight presents Sportfight XX: Homecoming Saturday night at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon.

Sonnen wasn’t looking forward to fighting his long-time friend, Kyacey Uscala. Heading into the fight he told MMAWeekly, “Kyacey is like the one guy that I was hoping I wouldn’t have (to fight). I’ve known him forever. I was literally at his very first fight and I’ve seen just about every one of his fights. I’m probably the worst guy he could get matched up with, just because I’ve seen all of his fights. I’ve seen him fight Matt Horwich and other teammates of mine.”

Getting past Uscola, Sonnen looks to the future. He commented, “I just want to keep trying to improve and compete hard. I just want to keep it as simple as that. I don’t think that there’s just one more step, the shot at Trevor (Prangley, BodogFight’s middleweight champion). Bodog has teamed up with Strikeforce now and I want Frank Shamrock.”

In the co-main event Chris Wilson won a Unanimous decision over Derrick Noble in his return to Sportfight.
