Throwdown’s “Showdown III” entertained Utah fans last Friday Night at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City. The Feb. 20 event was the largest MMA event in Utah history with 6,900 seats warmed by eager MMA fans coming from many surrounding states. The evening featured 14 bouts lasting approximately six hours.

UFC veteran Shonie Carter defeated George Lockhart by split decision to capture the promotion’s interim middleweight title in the evening’s main event.
