Schall-Ott bout headlines Ohio Extreme Challenge

MASON, OHIO – It’s a classic match-up… the experienced veteran against the promising newcomer.

Kerry Schall (22-8) is a UFC veteran and has fought around the world, even battling the great edor Emelianenko in a bout in Japan. Shane Ott was a 4-0 amateur until he made a shocking pro debut this month by finishing previously unbeaten Chad Griggs in the IFL. They will compose the main event tonight at Extreme Challenge 77, which is being held at Wall2Wall Soccer.

“Both guys are good wrestlers and are far above average in the submission department… especially for heavyweights,” said promoter Monte Cox.

Schall, more commonly known as the “Meat Truck,” was a competitor on Ultimate Fighter 2. He weighed in Friday at the 265-pound limit. Ott was right behind at 263.

In other key matches, another Ultimate Fighter veteran, Josh Rafferty, will take on Eli Ayars.
