Roger Huerta Replaces Eddie Ng at ONE: Defending Honor

October 11, 2016

Roger Huerta will face Adrian Pang at ONE: Defending Honor next month. The Australian was originally supposed to face Eddie Ng, but he suffered an injury in training and has been replaced by the UFC and Bellator veteran.

Pang (22-9-2) and Huerta (22-9-1-1) have virtually identical records, but the former has enjoyed more success in recent years, winning seven out of his last nine fights. The American established himself as one of the top lightweights in the UFC, but has won only two out of eight matches since leaving.

Roger HuertaHuerta is six years the junior of Pang, who was born in Papua New Guinea, but grew up in Australia. He is currently based in Phuket and will be returning to Tiger Muay Thai to prepare for this fight, which will be his fifth match-up inside the ONE Championship cage.

Pang will be fighting for ONE Championship for the fourth time and is currently at Phuket Top Team, meaning the two men will spend the final few weeks of their fight camp just a few hundred meters from one another.

ONE: Defending Honor is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Nov. 7 and will be headlined by a lightweight title bout between Shinya Aoki and Eduard Folayang.
