Resurgent UFC Veterans Dave Herman and Walt Harris Square Off at Titan FC 30

June 25, 2014

Dave HermanVeteran heavyweights Dave Herman and Walt Harris will continue to charge the comeback trail when they square off at Titan FC 30 on Sept. 26 in Cedar Park, Texas.

Titan FC officials revealed the bout to on Wednesday.

Both Herman and Harris are UFC veterans that didn’t quite live up to past performances when they stepped in the Octagon, but each has begun his return to form.

Herman (22-6) has just two blemishes on his record when he entered the UFC. Unfortunately, he didn’t fair well there, scoring just one victory before losing four consecutive bouts to Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and Gabriel Gonzaga.

He rebounded at Titan FC 28 in May, however, scoring a three-round, unanimous-decision victory over fellow UFC vet Kalib Starnes. Hoping to put a solid run together, Herman will make a quick return at Titan FC 30.

Staying on track will be no easy task, though, as Harris (6-3) is also working to brush the chip off his shoulder. He was winless in his two starts in the Octagon before also righting the ship at Titan FC 28. Harris knocked out D.J. Linderman in the first round, just like he has done in all five of his other victories; six wins, six knockouts.

“This fight more than speaks for itself, these are two of the best heavyweights who are not in the UFC today,” Titan CEO Jeff Aronson told “Both men possess one punch knockout power. Additionally, there’s a good possibility that the winner will be granted a future title shot.

“Titan FC plans on announcing more additions to the division making this match-up extremely pivotal to the title picture in the heavyweight division.”

Titan FC 30 will also feature a bout that had to be rescheduled, as two more UFC vets, Jason Brilz and Vinny Magalhaes, will meet for the promotion’s inaugural light heavyweight championship.
