October 18, 2011

It was a busy day over at Pro Elite where they signed a deal to broadcast their second show on HDNet and found a replacement to face Tim Sylvia on the Nov. 5 card.

The biggest news may be the deal that Pro Elite struck this week to broadcast their upcoming show from Illinois on HDNet.

The first show back for Pro Elite streamed online only, but now they will upgrade to HDNet and welcome in the broadcast team of Michael Schiavello and Frank Trigg for the broadcast.

The announcement about the deal was discussed on Monday’s edition of Inside MMA.

The other piece of news confirmed independently to by sources close to the fight is that Andreas Kraniotakes has been tapped as a replacement for an injured Pedro Rizzo, and he will face Tim Sylvia in the main event on the Pro Elite card.

Kraniotakes is 12-4 overall having fought in several regional promotions and has won his last three bouts in a row.

He will now face former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in the main event of the card taking place in Moline, Ill. which also features Andrei Arlovski and Reagan Penn.
