LAKEMOOR, ILL. – Two months after making his first Pride appearance, Chicago’s Michael Russow was back to business.

Russow, who lost to Sergei Kharitonov in Pride 33 after taking the fight on short notice, recorded another fast victory Saturday… submitting Scott Harper in 32 seconds with a keylock at Xtreme Fighting Organization 16. Now 4-1, all of Russow’s wins have come in 1:11 or less.

“Mike is so powerful that if he gets side control, he’s going to get that keylock,” said XFO promoter Dan Lardy.

In another key pro battle, Matt Fiordirosa improved to 7-1 with seven straight wins by beating Mike Pickett by rear naked choke at 2:40 of the second round.

In what was probably the most exciting fight of the night, Brent Mehrehoff finished off Russ Janca at 2:48 of Round 3. Mehrehoff avoided submission attempts and showed excellent knee strikes to win the bout by technical knockout.
