UFC 138 has taken a hit for this weekend’s card. Paul Taylor has been forced out with an injury and his opponent Anthony Njokuani will also be pulled as a result.

UFC officials confirmed the news to on Tuesday.

With Njokuani vs. Taylor now off the card, the light heavyweight bout between Anthony Perosh and Cyril Diabate has been bumped up to the main card for Spike TV.

Taylor’s injury has not been disclosed, but with the fight just a few days away there was no way to secure a reasonable replacement so Njokuani will have to wait to fight another day.

The UFC 138 fight card now stands at 10 bouts with five main card fights for the Spike TV and television broadcast in the U.K. and five fights set for the Facebook prelims.

UPDATE: UFC officials have now stated that Taylor was involved in a minor car accident on Monday and suffered whiplash when his car was rear ended. Taylor was forced to pull out of the fight at UFC 138 due to the injury.
