Greatest Common Multiple (GCM) held the sixth edition of its “D.O.G.” show in Tokyo on Sunday at the Differ Ariake. The card went through many changes due, in part, to several fighters pulling out of their scheduled fights as a result of injuries.

The biggest development of the show was the return of Yushin Okami to action after losing a controversial judges’ decision to Jake Shields in the recent welterweight tournament in the Rumble on the Rock promotion in Hawaii.

Okami returned to action in the main event against Izuru Takeuchi, who is currently ranked number one in the Pancrase middleweight rankings. Okami looked good in this middleweight fight, which he won by mounting Takeuchi and unleashing a barrage of strikes that forced the referee to stop the fight.

With this win, it seems likely that Okami has earned himself a spot in the upcoming 187-pound tournament in K-1’s MMA promotion, Hero’s, or at the very least a chance to compete in the Hero’s promotion in the future.
