World Extreme Cagefighting on Monday neared completion of its fight card for WEC 51 at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo. The promotion added a featherweight contest between Diego Nunes and Tyler Toner.

Nunes (14-1) comes into the bout ranked No. 7 in the world at 145 pounds. He rebounded in his last bout with a win over Raphael Assuncao. He had lost the first fight of his career, to L.C. Davis, in the fight prior to Assuncao.

Toner (10-1) made his promotional debut with a first-round TKO of Brandon Visher at WEC 48. He’ll be looking to add to a five-fight winning streak, fighting in his own backyard in Broomfield. Toner lives in Colorado, fighting out of the Grudge Training Center alongside Nate Marquardt, Shane Carwin, and other notables.

A featherweight title fight between current kingpin Jose Aldo and challenger Manny Gamburyan heads WEC 51. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, another popular local, faces former WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner in a highly anticipated rematch in the co-main event.
