UFC middleweight Nick Catone on Tuesday announced via his official website that he will face Steven Steinbeiss in his next bout. The two are scheduled to fight on Jan. 11 at UFC Fight Night 20 in Fairfax, Va.

Catone (6-2) is in desperate need of a win following back-to-back defeats to Mark Munoz and Tim Credeur. He is currently 1-2 in the Octagon.

A product of Arizona Combat Sports, Steinbeiss (4-3) is in much the same situation as Catone. He lost a split decision to UFC veteran Carmelo Marrero in his lone WEC fight before the promotion shuttered its middleweight division. Ryan Jensen then submitted him upon his transfer to the UFC.

So Steinbeiss is in need of a win as badly as Catone. The loser will likely be handed his walking papers.

A bout between Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz is expected to headline UFC Fight Night 20 on Jan. 11 at the Patriot Center.
