Woman's boxing champion claims Jake Paul 'doesn't have the skills' to compete with her

Jake Paul is now catching the attention of the women's side of the sport, with one champion believing she can beat the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Jake Paul has done a great job in capturing the attention of so many, but maybe too good of a job as a woman's boxing world champion is now targeting him.

'The Problem Child' has played the villain thus far into his career in the ring, which has worked out tremendously for him. Not only has he brought new eyes to the sport, but he also has long-time fans turning up just to see him lose—making him one of boxing's biggest attractions.

His rise to superstardom has caught the eye of many of his peers, but Jake Paul likely didn't expect to be targeted by athletes in the women's game.

After his controversial showing against Mike Tyson, Paul has been subject to backlash from many. One of those critics is Claressa Shields—a boxing world champion with eight titles in her possession.

"Jake Paul knows how to p*ss off a whole community," Shields told TMZSports in the wake of the Paul vs. Tyson event. "He knows how to p*ss people off."

"[Jake Paul] was trying to hit Mike Tyson with some punches... I think he held back toward the end of the [fight], maybe like round six or seven and eight. But I think in the beginning if he could knock Mike Tyson out, I think he would have. I don't think he's skilled enough to."

Speaking on whether she believes Jake Paul is skilled enough to hang with her or any other elite boxer, Claressa Shields quickly shut down his chances.
