Tom Aspinall mocks Ciryl Gane for fight offer rejection

Tom Aspinall isn't done poking fun at Ciryl Gane after the latter reportedly refused to fight him.

Tom Aspinall isn't in the fight business to make friends and that has been on full display in recent months.

The Brit has been exchanging some heated words with several fighters and Ciryl Gane is one of the latest to be added to the list.

Once news surfaced suggesting Gane had turned down a chance to fight for UFC interim gold, Tom Aspinall immediately began mocking his fellow heavyweight contender.

In a post shared to social media, Aspinall–alongside popular UK radio and TV broadcaster Adam Catterall–mocked the France native in an amusing short clip.

Tom Aspinall is preparing to gain some form of revenge next time out. The rising star will collide with the only man to have beaten him inside the octagon Curtis Blaydes.

The first fight between the two powerhouses ended with a freak injury. Blaydes was credited with the victory, but both men are looking forward to getting a definitive result this time around.

Before rejecting the fight proposal, Ciryl Gane was the frontrunner to compete against Aspinall at UFC 304.

However, opportunities are opening up outisde of the cage for 'Bon Gamin'. He opted to explore a role in the upcoming Den of Thieves 2 instead of co-headlining the huge UFC Manchester card on July 27.

When news broke of Gane's decision to film a movie opposed to taking a significant fight offer, the aforementioned Adam Catterall had much to say.

"In the co-main event [of UFC 304], we've got the interim heavyweight world championship where Tom Aspinall's going to be defending. Of course Tom Aspinall's on the card."

"He's taking on Curtis Blaydes in the rematch. There's a slight bit of disappointment because I thought we were going down the path of Ciryl Gane."

"But Ciryl said no. He's making a movie. He doesn't want to fight for the interim title. What's that all about?"
