PFL 1 Results & Highlights: Andre Harrison Logs Dominant Performance in a Night of Finishes
Former World Series of Fighting champion Andre Harrison logged a dominant performance on Thursday at PFL 1 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Week 1 of the 2018 regular season featured heavyweights and featherweights in a night filled with finishes.
Harrison defeated Jumabieke Tuerxun by unanimous decision in a one-sided fight in his quest to win $1 million. He picked Tuerxun apart on the feet and grounded and pounded his way to a clear-cut victory.
Former World Series of Fighting featherweight champion Lance Palmer scored a second-round finish against Bekbulat Magomedov in the co-main event. Palmer utilized his wrestling to put Magomedov on his back and secured a rear-naked choke to earn 5 points in the season standings.
Former WSOF featherweight champion Alexandre de Almeida, who lost the title to Palmer, made quick work of Lee Coville. He submitted Coville by armbar in just over a minute in the opening round. With the win, Almeida is tied for the lead in the featherweight season standings.
