Dustin Poirier custom UFC 302 fight shorts revealed
When former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier makes the walk to the octagon for the UFC 302 main event on Saturday, he'll be wearing custom fight shorts.
Poirier takes on lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev in a fight that could be his last. It will Poirier's third title shot and will definitely be his last chance to win undisputed UFC gold. In recognition of the monumental moment in Poirier's career, he was granted permission to deviate from the ordinary VENUM fight shorts.
The fight promotion revealed the floral fight shorts via social media. “Got them custom boys," Poirier wrote captioning in a retweet of the floral-print trunks.
Poirier (30-8, 1 NC) is coming off a 'Fight of the Night' knockout win over Benoit Saint Denis. He has a wealth of experience in high-profile fights. He's fought Conor McGregor three times. He's fought world champions: Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor, Eddie Alvarez, Anthony Pettis, Max Holloway twice, and former interim titleholder Justin Gaethje twice.
