NCAA Champion Bubba Jenkins Signs with Tachi Palace Fights, Debuts Against Chris Huerta

2011 NCAA champion wrestler Bubba Jenkins will make his professional fighting debut at Tachi Palace Fights 11 on Dec 2 against fellow newcomer Chris Huerta.

Tachi Palace Fights officials confirmed the bout with on Monday.

Bubba Jenkins was the 2011 NCAA champion from Arizona State who immediately made his move to the MMA world when he signed on to begin work with the American Top Team camp in Florida.

A wrestler at 157lbs in college, Jenkins will fight his first professional bout at lightweight, but rumors have circled that he may eventually make a move to featherweight.

Facing Jenkins in his first pro bout will be Madera, California fighter Chris Huerta.

Huerta is a young fighter out of California, who has competed on some local amateur bouts and will make his pro debut as well when he faces Jenkins in December.

Tachi Palace Fights 11 takes place on Dec 2 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif. with flyweight champion Ian McCall defending his belt against former WEC fighter Will Campuzano in the main event.
