Ramsey Nijem
Undefeated Myles Jury will face Ramsey Nijem at UFC on Fox 7: Henderson vs. Melendez on April 20, MMAWeekly.com has confirmed through sources.
Jury and Nijem were both cast members on The Ultimate Fighter 13. Jury suffered a knee injury in the first week and was forced out of the competition. Nijem advanced to the finals, but was defeated by Tony Ferguson at the finale.
Jury (11-0) is coming off a decision win over Michael Johnson at UFC 155 in late December. Nijem (7-2) has strung together a three-fight win streak. His last appearance inside the Octagon was at UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz in early December, where he defeated Joe Proctor by decision.
UFC on Fox 7 is headlined by the lightweight title bout between titleholder Benson Henderson and Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez. It will be Melendez’s long awaited UFC debut.
