Pride has announced two more matchups plus some additional participants for the 1st round of the Open Weight GP in May.

Cro Cop will make a return to the ring and will face Japan favorite, Ikuhisa Minowa, in the first round. Cro Cop of course being the Heavyweight and Minowa a Welterweight. Minowa was fighting as a Middleweight (Light-Heavyweight US equivalent) and has recently dropped down to Pride’s Welterweight division (Middleweight US equivalent) after they opened up that division.

Josh Barnett will be facing Heavyweight Champion Fedor’s brother, Alexander Emelianenko, in the first round in what should be a barnburner, as Alexander likes to throwdown and as Barnett showed in his last fight against Cro Cop, he is not afraid to stand either.

Additional participants announced by Pride, but as yet we don’t know who they will be fighting are Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mark Hunt, and Wanderlei Silva.

As announced previously, Tsuyoshi Kosaka ‘T.K.’ (UFC vet), Yoshida, and Nishijima will also be on the card.
