MMMAWeekly Radio Weekend Edition is back with a stacked show for Sunday with Ryan Bader, Jon Fitch, and a UFC 139 breakdown.
We break down UFC 139, talking about Dan Henderson’s amazing win over Shogun Rua and what title he should go for. We also talk about Urijah Faber’s win over Brian Bowles and whether or not he should be getting the return shot at UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz before some of the other fighters in line.
Ryan Bader, fresh off of his knockout of Jason Brilz at UFC 139 last night, joins the show to talk about his fight and also what he thinks it’s gonna take for someone to defeat light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
“Henderson, looking at his last fight, he’s not going to go away. It’s going to take a guy who will just throw at (Jones) and not respect him. People respect Jon Jones too much. It’s going to take a guy who is giong to try to take your head off (to beat Jones),” said Bader.
Jon Fitch joins us and talks about his philosphy of winning at all costs and why it is so important to him. Also, he gives his thoughts on why he gets passed over for title shots.
“I really have no idea, no one has ever come to speak to me (about it). I’m completely clueless, I have no idea what is expected of me to get a title shot,” said Fitch.
He also talked about his fight and rivalry with B.J. Penn, a couple of incidents that nearly made him break into tears, and also his thoughts on what he could improve to become a better fighter.
“I could be taller and a bit better looking.”
