MMAWeekly Radio Round-Up: Cruz, Shields, Melendez, and More!

It was a another big week for MMAWeekly Radio. We launched the new MMAWeekly Radio Weekend Edition, the incomparable Jeff Cain returned to the airwaves, and of course, we were loaded with an amazing line-up of guests including UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz, Strikeforce lightweight titleholder Gilbert Melendez, and UFC welterweight challenger Jake Shields.

The new MMAWeekly Radio Weekend Edition launched on Sunday with a top slate of guests including UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, UFC light heavyweight Ryan Bader, and “Kimbo Killer” Seth Petruzelli.

Monday kicked off a strong work week of radio as well, featuring Jake Shields, who is set to challenge UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre before 55,000 fans at the Rogers Centre in Toronto next week. Also joining the show was Anderson Silva manager, Ed Soares, who gave us the latest scoop on Silva, the Nogueira brothers, Jose Aldo, and his full roster of fighters.

Tuesday was Strikeforce day on MMAWeekly Radio. Strikeforce lightweight champion and new No. 1 ranked 155-pounder Gilbert Melendez dropped in, as did his boss, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, who provided a slew of updates on all things Strikeforce.
