MMA fighters react to Donald Trump’s FBI raid

On Monday, former United States President, Donald Trump revealed his home was being raided by the FBI.

“My beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a statement.

CNN sources reported that the raid was part of an “investigation into the handling of presidential documents, including classified documents, that may have been brought there.”

When the news broke, social media when into a tailspin with either celebratory messages or messages of support for Trump. The MMA world was no different.

One of the reasons many in MMA community support Trump is due to his long-time support of the sport beginning with hosting early UFC events at Trump-owned properties, to Trump attending a UFC event while President and even hosting Colby Covington in the White House after he won his interim title. Additionally, Dana White spoke at the Republican National Convention.

Several other fighters retweeted pro-Trump tweets including Ian Heinisch.
