Twelfth-ranked women’s bantamweight Marion Reneau takes on prospect Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC Fight Night 82 on Feb. 21 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
UFC officials announced the addition on Thursday.
Reneau (6-2) is coming off a loss to current champion Holly Holm in her last outing. She hopes to rebound and show Evans-Smith what it’s like to compete against a top 15 ranked fighter.
Evans-Smith (3-1) didn’t compete in 2015. She’s coming off a loss to Raquel Pennington in her last fight at UFC 181 in December 2014. A win over Reneau could land Evans-Smith in the rankings and up the pecking order in the UFC women’s 135-pound division.
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone makes a quick return following his loss to lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos to headline UFC Fight Night 82. He will move up to the welterweight division to face Tim Means in the Steel City main event.
