Majority Draw Radio: UFC 173 Co-Main Eventers Daniel Cormier and Dan Henderson

On the latest episode of Majority Draw Radio, hosts Ryan McKinnell and Danny Acosta discuss King Mo’s infamous d–kriding accusations to end Bellator’s PPV, “Ill” Will Brooks’ excellent upset and attitude, and the firepower of UFC’s top three bouts for their latest Memorial Day Weekend fights at UFC 173.

UFC 173 co-main event fighters Daniel Cormier and Dan Henderson both join the show to talk about their UFC 173 co-main event bout.

Cormier expresses his admiration for Dan Henderson, his belief that Henderson doesn’t have a title run left, and asserts Jon Jones versus Cormier is the biggest fight available to the 205-pound champ.

“I have these moments against some of these guys that I’ve watched so long,” Cormier told Majority Draw Radio of the upcoming Henderson bout. “I was standing in the cage, Frank Mir was walking to the cage. His music playing; this is Frank Mir. I’m about to fight Frank Mir. Josh Barnett, same thing. I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m gonna feel on Saturday whenever Dan’s walking to the cage. Dan Henderson is on his way to fight me.”

Henderson admits he was slow in his last fight versus “Shogun” Rua, credits Cormier’s success in such a short time in the sport, and reveals his desire for one last title run is in his DNA.

Henderson commented on Cormier as an opponent: “He’d rank right up there with the top guys [I’ve fought]. He’s going to be one of the toughest tests I’ve had in the sport.”
