UFC veteran David Loiseau and TKO veteran Steve Claveau, two of Canada’s best known mixed martial artists, have now entered the promotional realm. The two held their first MMA event, Ring Extreme, this past weekend in Quebec City.

The fight card consisted primarily of up-and-coming Canadians competing before a sold-out crowd of 2,000 at the Centre des Congre. There were fighters representing Team Tompkins, Team Legion, BTT Canada, Team Union and others.

“We are starting small, but the show is definitely going to get much bigger,” said Loiseau. “I’m very happy with the turn out.”

Plans for a second show from Ring Extreme are currently in the works for sometime in early November.
