The June 30th Icon Sport event featuring Robbie Lawler defending his middleweight title against Hawaiian Kala Kolohe Hose has been rescheduled to September 15th. Lawler incurred a shoulder injury while training for the fight and will not be ready for the June 30th date.

Doctor’s have advised Lawler to take 4 to 6 weeks off in order to allow the shoulder to heal properly.

Lawler, who is the #8-ranked middleweight in the MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings, has won his last three fights, including impressive knockouts of Joey Villasenor at Pride 32 and Frank Trigg at the Icon Sport event in March 2007. Lawler is an experienced UFC veteran, while Hose is 3-1 as a professional. However, Hose is riding a three-fight winning streak.
