He is the most desired free agent in the MMA market. It’s known that up to seven organizations have been bidding for the man known as Rampage. The top promotions trying to land Quinton have been the big players including the UFC, Pride, Strikeforce, WFA and the IFL. Those big organizations were interested in throwing out money to sign Rampage.

MMAWeekly.com has learned that the WFA has made a very aggressive pitch and is very close to signing Rampage as the WFA seems to be the most likely destination for Jackson. The WFA is looking for a huge free agent signing and Quinton is their target.

The WFA of course thought they had another high profile signing in Tito Ortiz. The promotion thought they had Tito signed to be the star in the promotion, however the Huntington Beach Bad Boy bolted for a new contract in the UFC and being a coach on Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter”. Matt Lindland was supposed to go the WFA as well, but he’s also apparently on his way back the UFC as a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 4 as the UFC brings back UFC veterans on Season 4 of the Ultimate Fighter in the 185 and 170 pound division.

So it puts the WFA in a tough situation to sign a high profile free agent and Jackson feels that void. Jackson’s former manager is a high profile figure in the WFA which is slated to start in the summer. So while nothing has been signed just yet, look for Jackson to stay in the states for a big money deal in the WFA.
